The story of Le Domaine des Chênes began in 1973, during a family meal with the aroma of a Sunday roast chicken filling the air.
Dany, the mother, and Marcel, the father, discussed with Camillou, Dany’s father, the growing popularity of a new way to vacation: camping.
There was this family land, home to a park filled with centuries-old oak trees, remnants of the time when the Païolive forest stretched across the plain. Shady and located near the Chassezac River, it was the perfect spot.
In 1974, Camping des Chênes was born.
Dany managed the campsite with skill while raising young Laurent. Marcel worked as a truck driver at night and supported his wife during the day.
In 1998, Laurent took over after completing his studies in Montpellier, initially with the support of his parents, who gradually retired.
To this day, Laurent continues the family legacy and modernizes the campsite you now know as Domaine des Chênes.
